Ownership - Courage - Guidance
“You were more marvelous in your simple wish to find a way
than the gilded roofs of any destination you could reach.”
David Whyte
Who’s this for?
I want to write for people who know that taking full ownership of their life’s values is the key to fulfillment, but who also know that sometimes, shit can still break you.
I want to write for people who understand that courage is the magic sauce to life, and tell stories about what courage actually looks like.
I want to write for people who will help guide each other through the dark, the bright and the absurd and who have decided, it’s best to just enjoy the ride.
Is this only about skiing?
No.
Sometimes it starts there, but it rarely ends there.
Who I am:
I am Johanna “Hanni” Steppan, I am based in Austria and I have spent a lifetime working as a ski instructor and ski patroller in all kinds of different places and resorts. Skiing is my passport to the world, from Austria to Italy, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, France, Andorra, Chile, Argentina, US, Canada, Japan and back.
The mountains have always been my tether to sanity, peace and energy. They are the one constant that’s steadily there, through every rupture and repair that life offers. I’m also a screenwriter, cat owner, a middle child, a girlfriend, a traveller and a lover of Japanese food. Oh, and Burger’s. Love those.
